The Helsinki District Court has issued its ruling in a bribery case involving Polarica Marjahankinta Oy. The court sentenced Jukka Kristo, former CEO of Polarica Marjahankinta Oy, to eight months’ suspended imprisonment for aggravated bribery. Polarica Marjahankinta Oy was ordered to pay a corporate fine of EUR 50,000.
The Court dismissed all charges against Mari Onkamo, the current Chairman of the Board of Directors, clearing her of any wrongdoing in the case.
Both Mr. Kristo and the company have decided to appeal the District Court’s judgment, which is not yet final. However, the company has already paid the corporate fine, despite the forthcoming appeal proceedings.
