Polarica Group's operations significantly impact four key groups: our 158 employees across Nordic and Polish facilities, workers in our supply chains, consumers and end-users of our products, and communities near our facilities.
We take responsibility for the working conditions and rights of all these groups. Our Human Rights Policy integrates economic, social and environmental sustainability with a particular focus on human rights.
In March 2026, we completed a Human Rights Impact Assessment, conducted using the Danish Institute for Human Rights methodology and aligned with the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The assessment covers eight right-holder groups across our full value chain and nine human rights topic areas.
Impacts are rated by severity and mitigation measures are defined for each group, following a hierarchy of Avoid, Reduce, Restore and Remediate.
We manage human rights in our supply chains through a risk-based supplier management process. Our Supplier Code of Conduct sets binding expectations for suppliers, including fair working conditions, responsible recruitment, respect for human rights and access to grievance mechanisms.
Suppliers are assessed through due diligence procedures, including ESG questionnaires, documentation reviews, supplier visits and third-party social audits where relevant. Suppliers in high-risk countries are required to complete recognised social audits, such as SMETA or amfori BSCI, and corrective actions are followed up through our supplier management process.
Polarica prioritises product and food safety through strict standards for raw materials, production methods and packaging materials. Product safety begins at sourcing – from forests, farms and growing regions – and extends throughout the entire supply chain.
We apply food safety protocols aligned with internationally recognised standards, including HACCP, BRC (Haparanda and Świdwin), IFS (Świdwin) and FSSC 22000 (Lappeenranta). BRC and IFS certifications are GFSI-recognised.
Our Code of Conduct reinforces key principles covering consumer focus, environmental responsibility, sustainability, ethics, product requirements and clear product labelling. Compliance is monitored through internal audits, regular reviews and employee training. Where non-compliances are identified, they are addressed immediately as part of our continuous improvement process.
Each finished consumer pack carries a unique code linking it to the production lot, packing date and packing time, enabling full traceability back through the process. Read more in our Business and Sustainability Report 2026.
Our Product Safety and Quality Policy – "Naturally fresh, safely produced" – applies across the Group and is built on four principles: product safety comes first, reliable delivery is part of quality, improvement is continuous, and transparency supports control.
No product is released without meeting its approved criteria. Customer complaint targets are below 20 PPM for Nordic operations and below 10 PPM for Poland.
The organic label on packaging indicates compliance with the European Union's (EU) organic regulations.
These regulations are consistently applied across all EU member states as well as for imported goods.
The organic label signifies that the food has been produced without the use of synthetic chemical pesticides and fertilisers. Organic farming practices are designed to protect the environment by preserving soil, water and air quality, maintaining biodiversity, improving soil fertility and promoting animal welfare.
The use of artificial colours, sweeteners and flavour enhancers is restricted, while only a select few substances are permitted in organic production. These standards are carefully checked by independent certification bodies.

Our guiding principle is simple: touch the raw material as little as possible. We use only natural ingredients, so that every product tastes the way nature intended.
This applies across our entire range – from frozen berries and fruit to smoothie mixes, functional shots and speciality drinks. As we develop new product formats and expand our offering, the principle stays constant: natural ingredients, no artificial additives, honest taste.
